Greetings my cigar loving friends. We haven’t spent much time on these blogs talking about our favorite cigars so for the next few weeks we are going to change that. I have smoked many different brands and types of cigars over the years and consider myself an “equal opportunity smoker”, which means if someone recommends a particular stick to me, I absolutely will smoke it and make a personal judgement. Having said that I definitely have a few “go to’s.” One of my favorites is the Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill. Here are some quick thoughts on this guy…

Alan Rubin left his family business in the mid 1990’s to pursue his passion, cigars. He tried and failed selling them exclusively at golf courses but regrouped and started his own company. He named the company after his two sons, Alec and Bradley and soon after, his hard work payed off. The Prensado type was introduced in 2009 and was an instant hit. We first started smoking these at the big CI show in Pennsylvania and have been smoking them ever since. This one is actually a pretty cigar (don’t judge me on calling a cigar pretty). What I mean is it just looks cool, has a great and classy looking wrapper, and it really just looks like it’s begging to be smoked. I have found it to be a subtly spicy with some earthy and hearty tones. It also has a great finish and seldom does it have to be touched up or relit. They make this one in their Honduras factory exclusively from Central American grown tobacco. We also are very fond of the Alec Bradley Tempus, but this Prensado is really the cat’s meow. We encourage you to take a stab at this one if you haven’t already. We promise you will not be disappointed. And if you do, drop us a note with your thoughts. We want to hear from you guys!

Well, until next time…Have a smokin’ day!
